Will I get a domain name with my account?

Yes. You just need to choose the “New domain” option when filling in our order form. If you already own a domain name you can still host it with us – just select the “Use my already registered domain name” option in this case, and we will send you a Welcome mail with instructions on how to point it to our servers.

If I register a domain name through you, who will own it?

You will be the legitimate owner of the domain name, and we will be your service provider. As the legitimate owner, you will be able to change the contact information for it, point it to other hosting service providers, or transfer it to other domain name service providers.

How long does it take until my domain name is registered and live on the Internet?

If you order a new domain name with your hosting account, it will be registered immediately after we open your account, and will become accessible within a few hours. If you already own a domain name and point it by setting the DNS server to the values we provide in the Welcome mail, it will start pointing to our servers about 24-48 hours after the DNS change.

Can you register .co.uk or some other TLD domain for me? Can you host this type of domain?

We can only register .com, .net, .org, .us, .biz and .info domains. We can host any other TLD as well, but you will have to register the domain name yourself with the respective NIC.

How can I transfer my domain name to you?

There are several options:

If your domain name has been registered by your previous host, you will need to contact them and ask them to change the name servers for your domain to the values that we will provide to you in the welcome mail.

If your domain is registered by a separate domain registrar, you will have to login to their online administration tool, and make the changes yourself.

Alternatively, you can transfer your domain registration to the registrar that we use (enom.com). Once you sign up for hosting with us, please write us so that we can tell you if a domain transfer procedure will be possible, and how much it would cost you.

Once we start the procedure it has to be approved by the company that currently holds the registration of your domain name as well as by the listed administrative contact for the domain name.

What is the difference between transferring the domain name registration and pointing the domain to our service?

Basically, the difference is that in the first case we will be both your web host and your domain registrar, while in the second case we will be your web host but you will have to pay to another company for the actual domain name registration.

What is domain name parking?

Basically, additional domain names can be pointed to your hosting account with us, and this is called ‘domain name parking’. For example, if you have an account for domain.com, and you wish other domain names, such as domain2.com, domain3.com, etc. to open the same webpage, you could ‘park’ them to your account. Have in mind that these domain names also need to be registered with some company first, and the DNS servers for them must be changed to the correct values. Email messages sent to addresses @domain2.com are forwarded to the corresponding e-mail accounts at domain.com.

How do I get a domain parked on my account (have multiple domain names pointing to my main domain)?

You need to use your Control Panel’s Domain Parking option. Shortly after the parking is confirmed, you will receive an email message containing the new DNS servers that you need to use with the domain name you just parked.
